Loads of Tottenham fans have been giving their verdict on the win over Inter Milan, and they are running out of superlatives for Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
The back four of Kyle Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Danny Rose was crucial in nearly winning Tottenham the league, and the Belgian pair have been constantly split up over the last 12 months for various reasons.
Alderweireld missed a huge chunk of last season through injury, and Vertonghen was out through all of October and most of November with a hamstring problem.

The pair on Wednesday, and fans are absolutely stunned by how they kept the electric Mauro Icardi quite.
Icardi makes teams pay with even the slightest whiff of a chance, but Tottenham’s veteran duo completely shut him down.
The pair combined for eight interceptions, eight clearances and two blocks, and Pochettino’s side now have their fate in their own hands ahead of the trip to Barcelona.
Fans are urging the club to sign them both veteran centre backs to long-term deals, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
you could see how calm it was back there tonight..ok admittedly Inter never really threatened but you saw how compact and disciplined also some great blocks from corners too

Look, I don’t mean to minimize how well Sanchez has adjusted to the PL, but these two are a class above. Critical that we manage to keep them beyond this season.
