According to the Burnley Express, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing West Bromwich Albion forward Jay Rodriguez ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is yet to improve his squad ahead of the new Premier League season, which gets underway on Friday night when Manchester United welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford.
The likes of Manchester City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all boosted their squad this summer, but Tottenham are yet to make a move, which has led to a lot of frustration amongst their supporters.
Spurs are currently being linked with a move for Rodriguez, who played under Pochettino at Southampton earlier in this career.

The 29-year-old scored 11 times in all competitions for West Brom last term, and is widely expected to move on this week despite being involved in his current team’s Championship opener last weekend.
The Tottenham fans have been offering their views on the transfer report, and it would be fair to say that there are a number of differing opinions.

Wouldn’t be a surprise at all imo… the kid was unreal before injury and showed glimpses of brilliance last season . Cheap option and would be happy as 2nd fiddle to Kane
