Erik Lamela has returned to first-team training for Tottenham Hotspur having missed the clash with Newcastle United last weekend due to a muscular problem.
Lamela suffered the injury during Tottenham’s pre-season tour of the United States, and was therefore not involved in the 2-1 success away to Newcastle on the opening weekend of the 2018-19 Premier League campaign.
The Argentine is now believed to be in contention for Saturday’s clash with Fulham at Wembley, where Mauricio Pochettino’s side will look to move onto six points in the Premier League table.
Lamela scored four times in 29 appearances for Tottenham last season after returning from injury, and will certainly boost Pochettino’s options in the final third of the field.
The Spurs supporters have been airing their views on his return on social media, and it would be fair to say that not everyone is on the same page when it comes to the 5ft 11in ace.

The problem with Lamela is that he’s so selfish, otherwise he’s fast, dribbling wise, and energetic
