In quotes carried by La Roma 24, the agent of Victor Wanyama has said that his client will not be leaving Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window.
According to Ivan Modia, Wanyama will 100% still be with Tottenham by the time that the January window slams shut.
The 27-year-old has only made seven first-team appearances for Spurs this season, with a knee problem making him unavailable for selection for long spells.
Wanyama has actually not played a minute of Premier League football since November 10 and had been strongly linked with a move away from his London outfit.
The former Southampton midfielder has a contract with Spurs until June 2021, although it does appear that his long-term future is away from the club.
Modia has insisted that Wanyama will not be leaving this month, however, and the Tottenham fans have been on social media revealing their views on the situation.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the Spurs supporters can be seen below:
Would love it if he could stay fit and find his form from his first season with us. Brilliant player when at his best.

IF, he can stay fit and feature even a little for the rest of the season, I’m okay with this.

It’s frustrating how injury prone he’s become. He’s such an impressive footballer when fit.

It’s such a pity he was a beast
