Tottenham fans react to Lucas’ pre-derby comments

Loads of Tottenham fans have been reacting to Lucas Moura’s pre-Arsenal comments, and they’re desperate for the Brazilian to exact revenge on Unai Emery.

Tottenham were supposed to be entering a nightmarish gauntlet of impossible matches this week, but so far Mauricio Pochettino’s side have come out stronger than they went in.

After a dominant display against Chelsea and a convincing win Inter Milan, a win against Arsenal could push Pochettino’s side into joint-second if Liverpool’s woes continue on Sunday.

Lucas, who after a brilliant start to the season has faded into obscurity of the last month or so, is absolutely desperate to prove his former manager wrong.

The Brazilian international racked up over 150 Ligue 1 appearances at PSG, but played just five league games in his final season with the club under Emery.

“It was very hard, the worst seven months of my life,” the 26 year-old said. “I came from a very good season, I was second top scorer of the team, only behind (Edinson) Cavani. The following season I wasn’t even called up.

“I believe in my talent. In my quality. I try to show it to him at Spurs.”

The Tottenham ace went on to explain his respect for “great coach” Emery, but there’s no question he will have a point to prove come Sunday.
