Anthony Martial was one of the men Jose Mourinho turned to when the FA Cup final was slipping away from him.

The former Real Madrid manager brought the Frenchman off the bench for the last 17 minutes of the 1-0 defeat against Chelsea to no avail.

That is despite looking clear some quite some time that Martial is not an integral part of the plans at Manchester United and it would appear that Tottenham agree.

Spurs have reportedly made Martial their top summer target after a season that has seen the forward slip down the pecking order at Old Trafford and the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January from their bitter North London rivals Arsenal may actually help them secure the signature of the French flier.

Tottenham fans are largely excited about the links with Martial, although some don’t see where he fits in or believe their club can actually snare him…
