Loads of Tottenham fans have been reacting to the latest transfer news, as reports claim Real Madrid are eyeing a shock swoop for Hugo Lloris.
According to reports, Real Madrid could turn to Lloris if they cannot lure Thibaut Courtois away from Chelsea.
The Spanish giants are expected to replace Keylor Navas this summer, and could make a 60m move for Lloris, who’s contract in North London runs until 2022.
This seems like a pretty bizarre rumour, but it wouldn’t be the first time Madrid have splashed out big money on a World Cup star, throwing huge money at James Rodriguez after the 2014 World Cup.
With the exception of his rather hilarious blunder in the final, Lloris was an absolute beast in Russia, so a certain degree of interest is perhaps not surprising.
However, despite some shaky moments in the last couple of seasons, the Frenchman is Tottenham’s captain for a reason, so it would be a surprise if they sold him.
There are a few considering cashing in due to his age and the quoted price though, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
Didnt Bale sign a new contract then leave for Real not much after? Dont forget who our Chairman is yeah, every player has their price! #LevysTottenham

I know it’s not true but if it was I’d bite Madrid’s hand off. Lloris is almost 32 and is starting to slip up here and there

Worth accepting the money…only if we can buy Jan Oblak.

Sell him for that if true (prob isn’t)! I love Hugo but he’s 31 now and maybe has had his time at the club, we could get a cheaper decent alternative like Butland or Schmeichel and have money for the coffers in other positions. Makes sense to me!
