Loads of Tottenham fans have been reacting to a potential worrying injury update, as Victor Wanyama picked up a muscle injury in Kenya’s 3-0 win over Ethiopia.
While the UEFA Nations Leagues is not exactly capturing fans’ or players’ hearts, the recent international breaks have brought high-intensity matches for the Premier League’s African contingent, as they fight for qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Liverpool have felt the effects already as Mohamed Salah picked up a muscle injury last week, and it seems as though Tottenham’s Wanyama may have suffered the same fate.
The 27-year-old scored from the penalty spot as Kenya won 3-0 to secure their spot in next summer’s tournament, but he later limped off with a hamstring problem.
Reports have since claimed that it was a minor problem, and that he could even be fit to face West Ham on Saturday, but fans have been here before with the tough-tackling midfielder.
Wanyama’s Tottenham career so far has been plagued by injuries just like this one, and lots of fans have been reacting to the news on Twitter.
