Tottenham fans are saying their goodbyes to a long time fan favourite, as reports claim the club have accepted a bid for Mousa Dembele.

According to French outlet RMC, Tottenham have accepted a £30m bid from an unnamed Chinese club for their midfield maestro.

Dembele only has 12 months left on his current deal, so getting such a big fee for the midfielder is fantastic business, but nonetheless fans are gutted to lose their Belgian beast.

The wiry midfielder has been the first name on the team sheet in recent years, and is the crucial cog in linking defence and attack for Pochettino’s side.

His style of play will be difficult to maintain in the Premier League as he enters his thirties though, prompting the decision from both player and club to cash in and say goodbye.

Spurs have been linked with a whole host of midfielders as they look to buff up their midfield options, and a £15m swoop for Jack Grealish seems the most likely move to happen in the immediate future.

While most fans would agree that £30m for an ageing player with 12 months on his contract is great business, it still hurts to say goodbye to such a popular player, and emotions are running high on Twitter.
