It is funny how things change.
Eric Dier has been the subject of some heavy criticism from Tottenham Hotspur fans during stages of the 2018-19 campaign.
And it would be fair to say that a number of the Spurs supporters feel that the England international is not good enough to be in Mauricio Pochettino’s first XI.
The news that Dier has returned to training following a spell on the sidelines has been welcomed by the majority of the club’s fanbase, however.
Dier has missed Tottenham’s last five Premier League matches after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix.
The 24-year-old is now back in training with Tottenham as he nears a return to action, although that will not be against Manchester United on Sunday.
Even so, the majority of the Spurs fans revealed that they were delighted to see Dier’s return to the training field.

Think Poch might be tempted to play Dier tomorrow if 100% fit. Sissoko and Winks both deserve some rest. #THFC
