Tottenham fans want Erling Braut Haaland signed after Champions League hat-trick

Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland’s incredible start to the season continued as he scored a hat-trick on his Champions League debut in his side’s 6-2 win against Genk on Tuesday night, and Tottenham Hotspur fans want their club to sign the 19-year-old.

The teenager, who netted nine goals in one match as Norway U20s beat their Honduras counterparts 12-0 back in May, took his tally to a remarkable 17 this term with his treble against the Belgian club, as per Transfermarkt.

It was also the 6 foot 4 son of former Leeds United midfielder Alfe-Inge’s second successive three-goal haul, having also netted one at the weekend in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Spurs supporters on the popular social media platform were clearly hugely impressed with what they saw from the tall centre-forward on Tuesday, with plenty believing the north London outfit should be targeting Haaland – not surprising given the lack of real depth they have behind Harry Kane right now.

While one said “sign him up Daniel” as a message to Daniel Levy, another went a step further and urged the club to “bin off Kane” and use the 19-year-old and promising youngster Troy Parrott together.
