Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have called on the club to bring in Jose Mourinho following the embarrassing 7-2 home defeat against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

Spurs would have been looking to produce a famous European night at their magnificent stadium, but instead it turned into a nightmare against a Champions League powerhouse in the Bundesliga giants.

The second-half capitulation followed on from disappointing performances and results against the likes of Newcastle United, Olympiacos, Leicester City and Colchester United, and it appears as though many of the north London outfit's faithful have had enough.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has been out of work ever since being sacked by Manchester United at the end of 2018, but the 56-year-old of course has won many a trophy during his managerial career – something Mauricio Pochettino has failed to during his time with Tottenham.

While one individual said "Mourinho is the man to take us to the next level", another said "get Mourinho in to tighten the defence".

It is an understandable reaction from fans who have seen such a promising team at times on paper fail to get their hands on a trophy for 11 years, but perhaps Pochettino has earned the chance to rebuild this team again.
