Tottenham arguably have four top quality full backs, and that’s without even mentioning rising star Kyle Walker-Peters, and fans are delighted that Rose is back to his best.

The English international tried to force a move to Manchester United last summer, and a combination of injuries and poor form allowed Davies to nail down the left back spot.

Rose has been the better of the pair so far this season though, and he chipped in with a vintage Rose assist on Saturday evening.

Harry Kane had given Tottenham the lead from the penalty spot, and Rose flew down the left flank to fire in a low cross for Erik Lamela to steer home with 15 minutes to go.

The 28 year-old made three key passes, two tackles and two interceptions, and although his defending for Brighton’s consolation goal was quite poor, fans are heaping praise on his display.
