Tottenham Hotspur took a big step towards securing a top four finish in the English Premier League this season with a 2-1 win away to Stoke City on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are now 11 points ahead of fifth-placed Chelsea with just a handful of games remaining, making qualification for the UEFA Champions League increasingly likely.
Christian Eriksen was the hero of the afternoon against the Potters, scoring twice in the second half to take the spoils despite Mame Biram Diouf’s equaliser.
Fans were of course delighted with the win and past goalscorer Eriksen had particular praise for midfielder Mousa Dembele, who was again superb in the middle of the park.
He’s been a driving force for Spurs this season, showing some of his best form so far in his career at the club.
Supporters believe he is one of the best midfielders in the division and will be hoping he can show his worth again next week against Manchester City.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his Saturday performance…
Watching Dembele on the ball is probably one of my favorite things in the entire world. The way he glides past people is incredible. #COYS

#thfc My man of the match is Moussa Dembélé. He made few mistakes but he was a rock in the middle. Son looked like he had a night out.

#thfc Joe Allen's attempts to shackle Mousa Dembele have so far been fruitless and I'm increasingly feeling sorry for him.

Well played Mousa, back to bossing in the heart of the midfield alongside Wanyama today, looking forward to watching you destroy City next week.
