The Internacional president Giovanni Luigi has admitted that the club are in talks with Spurs and that his main man should be playing in Europe and probably the Premier League next season.
Italian club Napoli are also on the tail of the Brazilian international and if they lose Edinson Cavani this summer, they may well blow Spurs out of the water financially to get their man.
Villas-Boas has made no secret of the fact he wants to sign at least one striker this summer after missing out on Damiao in January leaving an out of form pair of Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor to lead the line.
The future of the 23-year-old striker is set to be decided in the coming weeks with Spurs looking hot favourites to snap him up.
