Erik Lamela has been out of Tottenham Hotspur's team for over a year due to injury hell.

The Argentine has had numerous operations and sought help from overseas in a bid to solve his hip problems.

This season, Lamela returned to training but is yet to make an appearance in Mauricio Pochettino's side.

That could be about to change as the manager has confirmed that the 25-year-old could be selected to play in Tuesday night's Premier League game against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The news has come as a welcome boost to Tottenham fans due to the club's recent results, which have dropped the North London outfit to fifth in the table.

The team attempted to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to arch rivals Arsenal when they faced West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

However, the most they managed to take from the contest was a point when Harry Kane cancelled out Salomon Rondon's opener.

With Lamela's return on the horizon, the fans are feeling more positive.
