The wheels on Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League campaign seem to have fallen off and cannot be retrieved.

Mauricio Pochettino's men began the season as genuine contenders, but a run of four games without a win has dropped them down the pecking order.

As it stands, the North London outfit sit sixth in the table, 15 points adrift of leaders Manchester City, who could extend their advantage to 18 over Spurs if they overcome West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow.

There is still a long way to go before the winner is decided, but it appears that Tottenham may have to settle for a top-four battle.

Pochettino's side are four points behind Liverpool, who currently occupy the final Champions League spot.

This afternoon, there was more misery for Tottenham as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Watford at Vicarage Road.

Son Heung-min managed to cancel out Christian Kabasele's 13th-minute goal, but the visitors failed to find a winner and they also had Davinson Sanchez sent off.

The team have only secured one victory out of five attempts in the league since Toby Alderweireld was struck down with a hamstring injury.

In the background, rumours have been rumbling about the defender's contract situation, and after Saturday's display, fans are urging the club to give the Belgian what he wants.

The supporters are also desperate to have injured midfielder Victor Wanyama back in the fold.
