Harry Winks broke into the Tottenham Hotspur team in the 2016-17 season, making his Premier League debut against Liverpool in the first month of the campaign.

The midfielder made 21 Premier League appearances, including three starts, but the current season has been more restrictive due to injury.

In total, the youngster has started nine top-flight matches and has come off the bench in a further seven, but has not been on the pitch since the end of February.

Winks played just over an hour of the team’s 6-1 victory over Rochdale in the FA Cup on February 28, and it is unclear whether he will return to action for Spurs’ FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United.

This week, the midfielder was initially called into the England Under-21s squad, but has been forced to pull out due to an ankle problem.

The overwhelming majority of Tottenham supporters have expressed concern for the midfielder, whose chances of making the World Cup squad have dwindled due to his injury problems.
