Christian Eriksen has suffered criticism at the hands of some Tottenham Hotspur fans in recent weeks.

The Denmark international had a dip in form during the club's spell in which they failed to win four Premier League games in a row.

On Saturday, though, the midfielder put in a goalscoring display in a 5-1 romp over Stoke City at Wembley.

Harry Kane netted twice, Son Heung-min also scored, while Ryan Shawcross sent the ball into his own net to inadvertently boost Spurs' tally.

It was a special day for Eriksen, not just because he notched up his fourth league goal of the season.

The 25-year-old made his 200th appearance for the North London outfit, which he joined from Ajax in 2013.

Over the weekend, Tottenham celebrated the midfielder's achievement on Twitter by showing clips of some of his best performances.

On this occasion, the fans chose to praise Eriksen rather than aim criticism in his direction.
