Tottenham Hotspur are safely through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup after a dominant 3-0 win away to Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.
Always in control of proceedings, Spurs found their way to victory thanks to a Christian Eriksen double that sandwiched an excellent striker from Erik Lamela.
With a semi-final at their home for the season, Wembley Stadium, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be much fancied to reach the final in May.
Fans were delighted with the performance and chose to pay particular tribute to Lamela for his superb display as part of the Spurs attacking front four.
The Argentinian has been criticised by some for poor performances in recent months,ย but has enjoyed himself in the FA Cup so far this season, scoring twice and assisting three times in the last three rounds of the competition.
He’s becoming an increasingly important part of Pochettino’s squad and fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on today’s performance…
Why is it so many of you don't rate Lamela? Honestly I don't get it, I think he's absolute quality!!! #COYS

What a run and finish from Erik Lamela, who has been absolutely brilliant today! If anything, he's been better since his injury. Fantastic footballing brain, and now he's even grown a right foot! #COYS #FACup

Lamela is so underrated. Not like when a pundit calls Son or Firmino underrated either. I mean, people actually don't think Lamela is a baller #COYS #THFC

Enjoyed that! Very professional from the chaps. Thought they were all good especially Lamela. Even Sissoko looked ok in the deeper role. Saints in the semi please ๐ #THFC #COYS ๐ฎ๐ฑ

Lamela is slowing becoming a very important player for Tottenham. Good timing too, as heโs coming into form, full fitness and with Kane out injured #COYS
