Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane had an intense rivalry last season as the Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur stars went head to head for the Premier League Golden Boot.

The Egyptian international took home the gong and by the end of the season had 44 goals from all competitions.

This season, though, Salah has struggled to find his feet and even though he has netted three goals in nine outings, he has been below par.

The 26-year-old was Liverpool's standout player this season, but his finishing in the final third has been poor.

Against Chelsea in the late league kickoff on Saturday, Salah was hauled off in the 66th minute due to his ineffectiveness.

Tottenham fans were quick to poke fun at the Liverpool star, particularly as Kane had scored both goals for his side in a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town earlier in the day.

Kane was once branded a one-season wonder, but he has improved his goalscoring tally each year.

Earlier this month it was questioned whether the Spurs hitman was suffering with fatigue, but his last antics on the pitch suggest otherwise.

Some Tottenham fans were keen to point out the difference in form between Kane and Salah on Twitter.
