Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left biting their nails waiting to hear about the extent of Harry Kane’s ankle injury.
The star striker, who has scored 35 goals in all competitions so far this season, was forced off the pitch during Sunday’s Premier League game against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The England international hurt his ankle during a collision with Cherries goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
The extent of the problem has not been officially confirmed by the club, but a report in The Mirror claims that Spurs are worried that their key player could be on the sidelines for six weeks.
If true, that could potentially leave Kane little time to be fighting fit for England’s World Cup campaign in Russia.
However, a number of other media outlets, including The Independent, claim that Spurs are still waiting for results and do not have an indication as to how long Kane will be out of action.
Initially when the striker suffered the damage, fans felt that the team were capable of coping without him.
Now, they have been reacting to the ongoing uncertainty about the extent of his injury.

Not good news if the swelling is still that bad,if it’s still up like a bap now I can’t see him playing for us again this season, but it would be nice if we get him to lift the FA cup with Lloris come May #COYS

Kane out injured til May. First game back will be the FA Cup Final. Scores a hat-trick, wins the world cup, becomes king of England, takes over universe. #COYS

This might seem weird but I’m more bothered about Kane going to the World Cup than finishing the season with us. Obviously I want him back asap but more than that, he deserves to play at the World Cup, his talent warrants it. #COYS

Bit pre-mature considering he hasn't even had the scan yet.
