Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United do not have the warmest of relationships.

The London rivalry is evident, which has made their upcoming EFL Cup tie much more juicer.

Spurs learned on Saturday evening that they will have to overcome Manuel Pellegrini's men at the London Stadium in order to progress into the next phase of the competition.

Mauricio Pochettino's men booked their place in the fourth round by ousting fellow Premier League opposition Watford, but they were taken to penalties.

The North London outfit came from behind to eventually lead 2-1 thanks to a penalty from Dele Alli and a goal from Erik Lamela.

Etienne Capoue sent the game to penalties after equalising in the 89th minute, but it was Tottenham who prevailed 4-2 in the shootout.

West Ham had an easier ride as they overcame League Two side Macclesfield Town 8-0, and their recent turnaround has some Spurs fans concerned.

The Hammers are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions, and they recently took points off Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United.

On Reddit, Tottenham fans gave mixed reactions to the EFL Cup draw.
