There is always a potential banana skin when Premier League teams face lower-league opposition in cup competitions.
Tottenham Hotspur will face League Two outfit Newport County at Rodney Parade this afternoon.
Despite the Welsh club being in the third tier, Mauricio Pochettino has named a very strong Spurs team.
Jan Vertonghen, Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele are among the names in the first XI.
The big surprise for some fans is the inclusion of Harry Kane, who is in a rich vein of form having scored 11 goals in his last seven outings in all competitions.
The 24-year-old is the team’s best player and with Premier League games against Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal coming up, some supporters are perplexed that Kane has been named in the first XI.
Seconds after the team news was announced, Tottenham fans took to Twitter to express their shock in Pochettino’s team selection.

Guessing Kane choosing to start hoping to add to his goal tally, but, oh what a big but, should we really be risking him? #COYS
