Tottenham Hotspur are yet to bring in a new signing this summer, but if they are mulling over attacking targets, they should switch focus to Croatia’s Ante Rebic.

The 24-year-old has been linked to the North London outfit in recent weeks, and his outing against Denmark in the last-16 of the World Cup on Sunday will only strengthen the speculation.

Rebic played the entire match, which ended in a penalty shootout that went in Croatia’s favour as they won 3-2 from the spot.

The Eintracht Frankfurt player created the second-most shots for Croatia, but he also made a number of crucial clearances during the encounter.

Rebic’s passing accuracy may have been a little off, but his ability to pick out a teammate while also attempting to go for glory himself shows that he can carry out a variety of jobs.

Harry Kane is Tottenham’s main man and there is no danger of that changing, but Rebic could offer the England star competition.

Alternatively, the Croatian could turn provider and link up with Spurs’ talisman in attack.
