Tottenham Hotspur should put their interest in Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish on the back-burner and focus on a swoop for Liverpool star Adam Lallana instead.
Spurs have been linked with Grealish ever since Villa were beaten by Fulham in the Championship playoff final.
The 22-year-old impressed in an attacking midfield position for the Midlands outfit last season, but Tottenham should consider another option before striking a deal.
Adam Lallana has been at Liverpool since 2014 when he switched from Southampton.
The 2017-18 campaign was a forgettable one for the midfielder, though, as injury curtailed his progress.

In fact, Lallana made just 15 appearances in all competitions, and 12 were in the Premier League.
Even if the 34-capped England international had been fit, he would have struggled to break into Jurgen Klopp’s side due to the form of his attack-minded stars.
Like any transfer, there is no guarantee that it will work, but Spurs have the advantage of Mauricio Pochettino being at the helm.
The Argentine is already familiar with Lallana’s ability having coached him at Southampton.
Publicly, the Spurs manager has delivered high praise to the midfielder, whose style would slot into the system at the North London outfit.
The 30-year-old brings versatility in that he can play behind the striker, but is also equally effective on either wing due to the fact that he is two-footed.
The only concern is his recent injury concerns, but if it was a straight shootout between Lallana and Grealish, the former has more qualities that will suit a Pochettino team.
