Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs over the last few months.
Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the potential suitors, but it seems that the North London outfit will miss out.
According to Calciomercato, the 18-year-old has agreed personal terms with Juventus.
De Ligt impressed for Ajax last season, making 33 appearances in the Eredivisie, and he also contributed with three goals and two assists.
Tottenham could be in the market for a new defender soon due to the uncertainty surrounding Toby Alderweireld.
The Belgian, who is currently representing his country at the World Cup in Russia, is yet to sign a new contract.
Spurs are in a dilemma as Alderweireld will be available for a cut-price figure this time next year due to a clause in his current deal.
If they sell in this window, then the club can demand a hefty fee, but this news of De Ligt’s potential move to Juventus has led some fans to wonder whether Alderweireld will stay put.

Good news. Now, HOPEFULLY, we can get back to fixing the TA mess and getting him back in the fold. Apparently he wants to stay a Spur.
