At the end of last season, Tottenham Hotspur fans were excited about the future as the team earned another top-four finish and move-in day to the new stadium was on the horizon.

Mauricio Pochettino and his men had spent the 2017-18 campaign playing their home games at Wembley, and it swiftly became clear as the new season approached that the team would not be leaving any time soon.

Since the campaign began, the club have had to announce countless delays on their move into the new ground as it is not yet ready to open.

Now, according to The Times, Spurs may have to wait until March 2019 before they can call the new stadium home.

Contractors reportedly believe that the North London derby against Arsenal on March 2 could be the club's first fixture at the ground.

The report claims that they are trying to work towards the January 13 clash against Manchester United, but the latter date is more realistic.
