Tottenham Hotspur have joined London rivals Chelsea in the race to sign Serie A starlet Amadou Diawara, according to talkSPORT.
The 18-year old has come to the fore with Bologna this season with a series of dynamic performances from midfield, after being brought over from San Marino.
The Guinean born teenager is thought to have been close to a deal with Chelsea, though Spurs chief Mauricio Pochettino is said to have now thrown his hat into the ring.
The Argentine is in the process of building a vibrant young side at White Hart Lane, and has presided over Dele Alli’s rise from a League One player to an England international since the summer.
The player recently revealed his ‘dream is to play in the Champions League.’
Juventus and Inter Milan are also understood to have cast a keen eye over his situation.
There have been indications that Bologna would ask for as much as £15m for the teenager who only arrived at the club in August.
