Lyon have rejected a second bid from Tottenham for striker Clinton N’Jie, according to talkSPORT.
The Cameroon international is believed to be high on Mauricio Pochettino’s wishlist this summer as the Spurs boss looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season.
Spurs’ latest offer of £9million is way off Lyon’s £15m asking price for the 21-year-old, though it is being reported that the Ligue 1 club are willing to cash in on the youngster.
talkSPORT claim Spurs will return with a third and final bid for N’Jie before the weekend.
Spurs are in the market for a striker to assist Harry Kane with the goals this season. Roberto Soldado’s White Hart Lane future looks to be over after a horrid two seasons in north London, while Emmanuel Adebayor is also expected to leave the club.
Fellow north London rivals Arsenal are also believed to keeping tabs on N’Jie, but are yet to make an official approach.
