Tottenham are eyeing a move to land Dynamo Kiev starlet Viktor Tsyhankov, according to TeamTalk.
After a quiet transfer window for Tottenham in the summer saw Mauricio Pochettino’s side fail to land a single addition, the Lilywhites are preparing for action in January as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the push for a top-four finish.
According to TeamTalk, this has led Tottenham to express an interest in 20-year-old Dynamo Kiev starlet Viktor Tsyhankov, who has earned a reputation as one of Europe’s brightest midfield talents after hitting 25 goals in just over 70 first-team outings for the Ukrainian side.
Recently bursting onto the international scene for Ukraine, Tsyhankov looks destined for the top and Spurs are said to be leading the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester City in the chase for his services.
An exciting attacking midfielder with an eye for goal, Tsyhankov would increase the depth Tottenham have in the final third by providing competition for the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen – potentially being a replacement for the latter if he is lured away by one of Europe’s top sides.
Said to be valued at €18m (£15.9m) by his current side, Tsyhankov is an affordable option for Spurs that would not create financial problems ahead of their imminent stadium move and could also leave funds available for Pochettino to bolster his ranks in other areas.
With his current price and form, Tsyhankov would represent a bargain for Spurs and is a signing that would continue Pochettino’s trend of signing exciting youngsters who provide a long-term boost to the North London side.
