Tottenham pondering move for Mexican ace

Javier HernandezTottenham are pondering a move for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Londoners have been extremely active in the transfer market this summer, but with Gareth Bale on the verge of completing a world-record move to Real Madrid, manager Andre Villas-Boas is still keen to bolster his attacking options.

One man to have caught the Portuguese coach’s eye is Hernandez, who faces a tough task to break into the United starting XI.

With the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck all ahead of him the in the pecking order, the Mexican has been linked with moves away from Old Trafford on numerous occasions in recent months.

Reports suggest that Spurs have approached their Premier League rivals to discuss a deal, and have been told that £15m will secure his signature.

Despite having already signed Roberto Soldado, AVB is believed to be keen to add a poacher to his squad – a role that Hernandez occupies with great success.

Since his 2010 arrival at United, ‘Chicharito’ has averaged a goal every other game – which is even more impressive considering many of his performances have been as a substitute.

The 25-year-old is believed to have turned down a move to Valencia this summer, but could be keen to stay in the Premier League with Tottenham.

Tottenham fans, could Javier Hernandez be a star at White Hart Lane?
