Tottenham preparing bid for out-of-favour Chelsea trickster

Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be preparing an £18 million move for Chelsea trickster Mohamed Salah, if reports from ESPN are to believed.

Spurs are keen to strengthen their attack at the end of the season and have been impressed with Salah’s performances, who is on loan at Italian side Fiorentina.

The 22 year-old Egyptian signed for the Blues from Swiss side Basle for £11 million in January 2014. It is not thought that he features in Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho’s plans, which may pave the way for Spurs to make their move for the player during the summer transfer window.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will attempt to convince the winger that his future belongs in London rather than completing a move to Florence, where he has put on a number of show-stopping displays for La Viola.

Chelsea will be crowned Premier League champions if they beat Crystal Palace on Sunday, while Tottenham play Manchester City at White Hart Lane.
