Tottenham are ready to make a move for Blackburn attacking midfielder Bradley Dack after receiving glowing scout reports, according to The Express.

What's the word?

Mauricio Pochettino's side have impressed at the start of the Premier League season but have struggled to reflect that form in their European campaign, losing their two opening fixtures in the Champions League against Inter Milan and Barcelona.

A lack of depth in attacking areas has been evident following injury issues for Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen already this season, but Spurs are looking to resolve that problem in January by swooping for Blackburn Rovers' breakthrough ace Bradley Dack, according to The Express.

Dack only arrived at Ewood Park in the summer of 2017 but has caught the eye with his performances in League One, the Championship and the EFL Cup, with Spurs scouts handing glowing reports back to Pochettino.

A good option?

With six goals and two assists in the Championship along with two goals and three assists in the EFL Cup, Blackburn face a stern fight to retain the services of Dack during the January transfer window and the 24-year-old could have his pick of suitors.

While Spurs present a solid option for the talented attack-minded midfielder - who may well be an alternative option to summer target Jack Grealish - he may fancy his chances of joining a Premier League side who can present more regular opportunities as The Express states England boss Gareth Southgate also has his eyes cast on the forward.

Tottenham are unlikely to provide consistent first-team chances unless the likes of Eriksen and Alli are absent, but if he proves himself he could allow the aforementioned duo to sometimes get the rest they may need for some Premier League fixtures if they manage to turn their European campaign around.
