Tottenham Hostpur have entered the race to sign highly rated Anderlecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani but will face hefty competition from Italian giants Juventus, who are current favourites to snap up the Ivorian according to his agent.
Mbokani, who scored 15 goals last season, was reportedly close to a deal with Fulham last year but instead opted to keep his options open and it seems the player has plenty of options.
“Of all the clubs, Juventus is the most practical option. It is not a new thing, because they have already followed Dieu when he played for Standard Liege,” his agent Fabio Baglio said speaking to Italian news site Violanews.com.
“There have been contacts between Anderlecht and Juventus and last week I was in Turin. A sale in January? You never know.
“There are many candidates, like Fiorentina, who are building a new team, and in England Tottenham are the most attractive option.”
