Tottenham Hotspur are set to miss out on transfer target Malcom as Inter Milan move ahead in the race to sign the young winger, according to The Times.

What's the story?

The 21-year-old Bordeaux flyer joined the French club in 2016 and had a stellar return last season, scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists in Ligue 1.

Spurs have been interested in the young Brazilian but now it appears Inter have won the race for his signature with their offer of a £8.8million for an initial loan with a £26.5million option to buy clause next summer.

Missed opportunity

Malcom looks like he would fit right in at Spurs with his lightning pace perfect for their counter attacking play.

If the deal with Inter hasn't yet been fully signed, Tottenham should do all they can to thwart it as he has shown he has all the attributes to become a star of the Premier League.
