Tottenham signing snubbed Dortmund and PSG

Christian Eriksen (Tottenham)Tottenham midfielder Christian Erisken rejected interest from both Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The Danish playmaker – who was also linked with Liverpool over the summer – completed a late £11m move from Ajax to Spurs to join Andre Villas-Boas’ North London revolution.

With his contract in Holland winding down, interest in the 21-year-old’s signature was high, and the player himself says that he was contacted by Dortmund before penning a contract at White Hart Lane.

“Dortmund was interested, and they approached me. I guess that they have contacted all the candidates they had, and I was one of the many,” Eriksen said.

“They were interested, and there was a phone call from them. But it’s a long time ago and a lot has happened since.”

Eriksen also received a late offer from PSG.

The French champions reportedly offered him a more lucrative contract and were willing to pay a higher fee to Ajax, but the midfielder had already decided to join AVB at Tottenham.

Eriksen is yet to make his debut for the Londoners, having signed for the club prior to the international break.

He could be in line to make his first appearance against Norwich on Saturday.

Tottenham fans, will Christian Eriksen be a hit?
