Mousa Dembele faces a late fitness test to check if he has shaken off his muscle injury and can play against Wigan.
The 25-year-old picked up the injury in the draw at Wigan last weekend so he faces a late test to see if he has recovered for Saturday’s visit to White Hart Lane of Southampton and there is also a worry over Younes Kaboul, who has been struggling with a thigh strain, after recovering from a serious knee injury.
The France defender is back in training and manager Andre Villas-Boas said: “Hopefully we can have him available for the last games.”
Aaron Lennon will again be checked to ensure his knee and hamstring problems have not flared up, as will Jermain Defoe and Gareth Bale and, with a game against Chelsea looming, one or more of them may be rested against the Saints.|
Midfielder Sandro, who is out for the season with a knee injury, is the only other player who Villas-Boas does not have at his disposal.
