Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor could be heading for a surprise move to Paris Saint-Germain, according to the Express.
The Togolese forward has struggled for game time under boss Mauricio Pochettino, despite being handed the captain’s armband in last week’s Capital One Cup semi-final clash with Sheffield United.
And the Express are reporting that Adebayor could be offered a route out of White Hart Lane by French champions PSG, who are hoping to bring in a striker before allowing Ezequiel Lavezzi leave the Parc de Princes this month.
Spurs are eager to get Adebyaor’s £100,000-a-week wages off the books as they seek reinforcements to help boost their top four chances.
But the Express also claim any move for Adebayor would depend on whether Liverpool make their interest in Lavezzi concrete by making an official bid for the wantaway PSG forward.
Meanwhile, the same report suggests Spurs midfielders Paulinho and Aaron Lennon are also being linked with a move away from White Hart Lane.
