Tottenham target Juventus duo

Tottenham are planning moves for Juventus pair Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella, according to reports from the Sunday People.

Spurs are known to be in the market for additions over the coming weeks, with attacking reinforcements a priority.

Sporting director Franco Baldini is believed to have been paying close attention to Quagliarella and Vucinic of late, with the Juve strikers both rumoured to be free to leave Turin.

The Montenegrin and Italian pair, both 30, have spent the majority of the season on the sidelines, with the Old Lady having secured the signatures of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez during the last window.

Tottenham are believed to be eying deals for both, with Tim Sherwood keen to bolster his frontline.

Vucinic and Qualiarella are seen as capable replacements for Jermain Defoe, who may leave North London in the coming weeks to join Toronto FC in a big money deal.

If the English ace does exit, Spurs will have only Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado to call upon as experienced first-team forwards, which could see their hopes of a top four finish dented.

Vucinic is also wanted by West Ham, while interest in Qualiarella is high in Italy.
