The 21-year-old, who has rejected a move to Russia, is also a transfer target for Liverpool.
But while Brendan Rodgers considers making a bid for the midfielder, Eriksen has spoken to Danish press about a possible move to Spurs, who have been heavily linked with the Ajax star this summer.
“Tottenham are a great club,” he told Danish newspaper BT. “I know from [Jan] Vertonghen that it is a good club which is interesting, but there has not been any contact.
“I do not know if I am going to leave Ajax. We’ll find out in two weeks. There are to my knowledge no negotiations right now either with a new club or Ajax.
“If there is a good approach [from another club], I see as an opportunity to try something new, but if nothing comes, I do not mind staying.”
Spurs have been looking to sign world-class players in an attempt to convince Gareth Bale to stay at White Hart Lane, instead of moving to Real Madrid. Daniel Levy has already signed Paulinho, Nacer Chadli and Roberto Soldado in a bid to prove to Bale the club are ready to get back into the Champions League.
Tottenham take on Crystal Palace on Sunday in their first match of the new season, as they look to become a top 4 team once more.
Would Eriksen be a good signing? Do Spurs need an attacking midfielder?
