Tottenham to rekindle interest in starlet

Tom InceTottenham are ready to re-enter the race for Blackpool winger Tom Ince, according to reports from The Mirror.

Spurs were one of a number of teams – including the likes of Liverpool and Reading – rumoured to have been interested in the England U-21 international in January, but were deterred from making an offer due to the Tangerines’ £8m asking price.

However, now Andre Villas-Boas is now willing to meet the Championship outfit’s demands as he continues his midfield shake-up.

Both Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore have been allowed to join Hull, while Andros Townsend is believed to be attracting interest from QPR.

Should he move on, AVB wants Ince to step into his squad as he prepares a serious assault on the top four.

The pacey winger rejected the opportunity to join Cardiff earlier this summer, but it is said that he would jump at the chance of a move to Tottenham – a club he feels matches his personal ambitions.

Spurs may face competition from Liverpool, who could reignite their interest before the transfer window closes.

Ince started his career on Merseyside before being allowed to leave the Reds for Blackpool in 2011.

Tottenham fans, could Tom Ince develop into a real star at White Hart Lane? Or would you rather keep Andros Townsend?
