This game could be make or break for Tottenham. Having not won any of their last three league games and only one of their three Champions League matches, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be in a perilous position in Group E should they fail to clinch three points tonight.
Bayer Leverkusen reside just one point behind the Lilywhites. A press-heavy draw at the Bay Arena two weeks ago was hardly the most entertaining affair of the season, but it sets this game up beautifully as we move into the second half of the Champions League Group Stages.
Spurs cannot afford the sort of drab performance they produced in their other Champions League ‘home’ game of the season at Wembley. The defeat to Monaco started the campaign badly and the same level of setback against Leverkusen will leave them under severe pressure to claim victory in their remaining two games.
Kick-off time is closing in and we can finally bring you the line-ups for a potentially cracking game…
