Tottenham weighing up late move for Brazilian

Zenit's HulkTottenham are considering a late move for Zenit Saint-Petersburg striker Hulk, according to reports from The Telegraph.

Spurs are said to be desperate to line up two or three big name arrivals to replace the Real Madrid-bound Gareth Bale, and see the Brazilian forward as one man to soften the blow of losing their talismanic midfielder.

Hulk has long been thought of as one of the finest front-men in European football, and only secured a mega money move to Zenit last year.

But, the South American is already unhappy in Russia, which has alerted his former boss Andre Villas-Boas.

The Portuguese coach worked with Hulk at Porto, a spell in which the forward emerged as one of the world’s most sought-after players.

Zenit are set to demand £40m for his signature, and although Tottenham will have the funds after Bale’s move, AVB is hoping that their demands may lower.

The 27-year-old is thought to be keen to play Champions League football, but Spurs are confident that they can convince him that the prospects of achieving this at White Hart Lane are realistic.

Spurs are said to be close to agreeing a deal for Roma’s Erik Lamela, while Christian Eriksen is also on their radar.

Tottenham fans, would signing Hulk soften the blow of losing Gareth Bale?
