Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and club president Florentino Perez have reportedly gone to battle over whether to sign Christian Eriksen or Paul Pogba in January (that’s not a bad thing to be arguing about is it, really).

Los Blancos currently sit top of La Liga and are understood to be keen to strengthen their midfield options.

Both Pogba and Eriksen were linked with moves to the Bernabeu during the summer after revealing that they were prepared for a new challenge away from their current clubs, but the Spanish giants were likely unable to fund the transactions having already recruited Eden Hazard, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Luka Jovic.

According to ESPN, however, Perez wants to complete a move in January and is expected to battle with Zidane over the decision...

Speaking to Danish news outlet Ekstra Bladet (via Sky Sports), Eriksen has insisted that Tottenham’s poor form, which has seen them win three out of their opening 11 matches, is not a result of his transfer links away from the club.
