Tottenham’s Lucas refuses to be disheartened by Olympiakos draw

Premiership Picks

Tottenham’s Champions League campaign didn’t get off to the start they would have wanted.

Actually, that statement isn’t entirely true – it got off to the perfect start, as Spurs were 2-0 up at half-time courtesy of goals from Lucas Moura and Harry Kane.

However, a second-half capitulation saw the London club come away with just one point after Olympiakos fought back to earn a 2-2 draw.

Fortunately, this is only the first game of the European campaign, and there is plenty of time to put this right.

One of the goalscorers from the night took to Twitter to ensure fans that they shouldn’t be worried.

Lucas is spot on with his tweet. It’s just one game, and it’s not the end of the world as long as the team continue to work hard.

Spurs know better than anyone that they can still qualify despite a poor result in their first game.

They only just got through their group last season, after failing to win any of their first three games, but they went on to make the final of the competition.
