Tottenham are planning a renewed push for Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha, according to The Mirror, with the Ivorian forward expecting to cost in excess of £50m.

What's the story?

Spurs splashed out a cool £25m on Brazilian winger Lucas Moura from PSG in the January transfer window, but are looking to supplement their attacking width by adding the ever-heralded 25-year-old in the summer.

Spurs have made a name for themselves in recent years in spending small and achieving big, but in the current transfer market where players like Eden Hazard are worth Gareth Bale and £100m, Tottenham are going to likely have to spend big to get their man.

Should they go through with it?

Spurs' raid on the best wingers there are to buy seems to represent yet another attempt to replace the Gareth Bale they lost four years ago.

Dele Alli is playing his best football sat in behind Harry Kane, and neither Christian Eriksen or Heung-Min Son can be considered a winger - nor would they convert well into being one.

Zaha is one of the best players with the ball at his feet and a full-back at his mercy, and Spurs would do well to pick him up as a compliment to Moura.
