Twitter explodes as Spurs open the scoring against West Ham

We’re some way into the London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham, and it’s been a predictably exciting clash so far.

Even though goal mouth action hasn’t been exactly free-flowing, both sides are putting in committed, organised and energetic displays – as you’d expect from a clash involving two local rivals separated by just one position and three goals in the Premier League table.

Well, make that five goals actually, because Lilywhites favourite Harry Kane of the Lane opened the scoring with a short-range rocket into Adrian’s net on 23 minutes, leading to a chorus of ‘He’s one of our own’ swirling around White Hart Lane, and team-mate Toby Alderweireld followed up around ten minutes later, latching onto a Christian Eriksen corner to head past the Hammers’ No.1 for the second time in quick succession.
