According to Brazilian media outlet UOL esporte, Tottenham Hotspur have been boosted in their pursuit of reported target Malcom after he claimed that Bordeaux have promised him that he can leave at the end of the season.

Spurs were heavily linked with a move for the highly-rated 20-year-old winger throughout the January transfer window but the Ligue 1 outfit were understandably not keen to lose the Brazilian, who has scored eight goals and provided a further six assists in 24 Ligue 1 outings this term.

Malcom said, via UOL esporte: "Yes, there was a promise that I will be negotiating in June. I will choose the team, and Bordeaux will let me go."

Mauricio Pochettino already brought another winger in Lucas Moura to the north London outfit last month, and it remains to be seen whether he will still want to sign another star who plays on the right in the summer.

However, given the qualities he has and the potential in his locker, it would certainly be no surprise to see them rekindle their interest in the attacker, also coveted by Manchester United and Arsenal.

The wide man may not be the only arrival though, and there are a number of other individuals that could potentially join him in north London if a deal does go through.

Here are two players that could follow Malcom to Tottenham this summer if he signs…

Ryan Sessegnon

Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for the exciting 17-year-old during the previous two transfer windows, and he seems destined to leave Fulham in the summer even if they win promotion to the Premier League.

The talented teenager has already made 65 first-team appearances for the Championship outfit despite his tender years, while he has scored 12 goals and provided a further four assists in 32 league games this season.

Able to play as a left-back or in a more advanced role on the same flank, Tottenham may see Sessegnon as Danny Rose's long-term replacement, and feel that he could perhaps even emulate Gareth Bale's success with the north London outfit if they can sign him at the end of the campaign.

Jann-Fiete Arp

Tottenham signed Fernando Llorente as Harry Kane's back-up during the summer transfer window, but after just two goals in 25 appearances in all competitions and with the Spaniard recently admitting that he would love to return to former club Juventus, Spurs could be looking to sign another striker at the end of the campaign.

The north London outfit will probably need a younger player that wouldn't mind playing second fiddle to Kane, and 18-year-old Arp could be the answer to their problem.

The teenager has a record of nine goals in seven appearances for Hamburg's U19 side, while he has also netted twice in 12 outings for the first team this term.

The centre-forward has also scored 15 goals in 17 games for Germany's U17s, and he looks to have a really bright career ahead of him.
