Walker & Rose’s stunning tandem performances vs. Burnley in numbers

Much of the talk surrounding Arsenal over the past week or so has been their slide away from the title race, but few have noticed that Spurs moved up to within a point of their bitter rivals on Sunday. The Lilywhites’ comeback 2-1 win vs. Burnley came as the Gunners were on the wrong end of the same scoreline at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium, and the two results have seen a massive shift in the Premier League table.

Although Tottenham were far from inspiring against the Clarets, the performances of two of their stars really caught the eye at White Hart Lane. Indeed, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose put in displays that really sum up their importance to Mauricio Pochettino’s side…

As the numbers show, the pair put in a combined total of 15 crosses, created nine chances and completed seven take-ons. Walker also set up Dele Alli’s equaliser, before Rose thrashed the all-important winner into the net after combining with Moussa Sissoko. The epitome of modern day full-backs.
